Periodical databases are organized collections of articles from magazines, newspaper and scholarly journals. These resources may be accessed both on and off campus.

Bibliographic database providing access to scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism. Combines the records of three collections: Cornell University's former Hospitality database (previously unavailable for public use), Articles in hospitality and tourism, and the Lodging, restaurant & tourism index. Coverage begins in the mid-1960s to the present.
LeisureTourism.com. Wallingford,Oxford, UK: CABI Publishing.
Leisure Tourism.com allows you to seek out and use information from the fields of leisure, recreation, sport, hospitality, tourism and culture. You can search for the latest published research on a given subject in a database containing over 50,000 articles taken from over 400 publications. Leisure Tourism.com also gives you access to new academic research, a comprehensive list of conferences and events, and news from the leisure, recreation, sport, hospitality, tourism and culture sectors.

Ebsco Business Source Premier. Ipswich, MA: Ebsco.
Provides full text for more than 7,400 scholarly business journals and other sources, including full text for nearly 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922.

Provides a single point of access to a deep archive of news and business information for both international and domestic markets. Allows users to conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, regional affairs - or any news.
Lexis-Nexis. [Dayton, OH]: Lexis-Nexis.
Research areas in LEXIS-NEXIS Academic Universe cover top news, general news topics, and news transcripts; foreign language news sources; company, industry, and market news; legal news; company financial information.

Market research reports and industry analysis primarily for U.S. markets. Includes market research reports and industry analysis on Travel & Leisure and Foodservice & Hospitality. Covers primarily the U.S. market.
Mintel. London, Chicago: Mintel International Group.
Offers research reports covering European, UK-specific, and US travel/tourism markets. Includes an additional module: Travel and Tourism International that includes country reports and travel & tourism analysts. The reports analyze market drivers, sizes and trends, market segmentation, along with consumer attitudes and purchasing habits. Free registration required for NYU students only.
Global Market Information Database.[London]: Euromonitor.
Provides integrated access to statistics, market reports, company profiles and information sources. Includes major market reports for travel and tourism.
EMarketer. New York, NY: eMarketer.
Includes data and analysis on e-business, internet marketing, and technology trends. Includes news, analysis, charts, reports, and information on products, as well as statistics through eStat Database.
Sports Business Research Network- SBRN. Princeton, NJ: SBRN.
Its mission is to provide a continuously updated resource featuring market research and industry news covering all facets of the industry - sports equipment sales, sports participation, sports broadcasting, sports sponsorship and sports marketing.
C. Company & Financial Information
Provides information
on public and private companies for U.S. and International companies.
The Business Network offers information on some 14,000 public and private enterprises worldwide (and access to an additional 37,000 companies).
D & B’s Million Dollar Database more
Information on over 1,500,000 U. S. and Canadian leading public and private businesses, including employees, sales, type of ownership, and biographical information on principal executives.
Financial filings, summary balance sheets and income statements, corporate histories, long-term debt, bond ratings and more, for publicly held companies worldwide.
Comprehensive company information, including SEC
filings for over 12, 000 companies traded on the major U.S. stock
exchanges. Also includes Worldscope information on U.S. and
International companies.
D. Country Information
Provides economic and political risk information for countries.
Business Monitor's online services provide daily macroeconomic, financial and company news and analysis on emerging and key global markets. Principal components include daily alerts, company alerts, market strategy, market monitor, currency forecasts, macroeconomic forecasts, political risk analysis, economic risk analysis, quarterly country forecasts, risk ratings service, PDF archive, top multinational company networks, etc.
Europa World is the online version of the Europa World Year Book, the indispensable source of information on world-wide affairs.
Provides objective measures of business regulations and their enforcement. The Doing Business indicators are comparable across 175 economies. They indicate the regulatory costs of business and can be used to analyze specific regulations that enhance or constrain investment, productivity, and growth.

Universe
Statistical Universe is the most comprehensive source for federal
statistics. It provides detailed abstracts, indexing, and locator information
for all statistical reports of general research value issued by the federal
government since the early 1960's.
Stat-USA
An online service of the most recent international trade information available
from the National Trade Data Bank, the National Economic, Social &
Environmental Data Base and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
World
Development Indicators
500 time series indicators from the World Bank for 210 countries plus regional
and income groups.

Bobst Library has been a depository library for the World Tourism Organization since 2003. As a depository site the library receives copies of all print publications. These titles can be found in the library catalog, BobCat. (http://www.bobcat.nyu.edu) The best way to get a list of the titles is to conduct an author search in Bobcat using World Tourism Organization as the author name. These resources are arranged by LC Call number and are housed on the 6th floor of the library in the International Documents wing.
